Audra's first year at home
It has been one full year of having Audra at home with us! We marked to occasion quietly at home. She had a cake with one candle on it...a tradition I hope to continue for each year at home. The year was filled with so many firsts for Audra and it was a blessing to be able to experience everything with her...through the innocence of her eyes:
Birthdays
Holidays
Trips
School
Parties
...and even the simple things like parks, moon bounces and swimming!
It's been an amazing first year!
I am so excited for her second year at home and all of the 2nds she will experience!
(I am putting together a video of her first year home. I hope to have it done soon, so check back!)
We sent a package to Audra's orphanage using the same service that helped us get a care package/cake to Audra while we were waiting to travel. We sent an album full of pictures of her first year at home and had a letter translated with updates from the past year. Ann, the kind owner of this service, will be calling the director of the orphanage on Monday to see if they have any other medical records for Audra that were not included with her file. This could be invaluable to her doctors who are still trying to put together all the pieces of her medical puzzle.
