Today was the Brittany's Hope
Walk of Love
and
Audra was their 2014 Hope Child!
It was such an honor for her to represent this organization and their beautiful mission...
"improving the quality of life for all God's children, especially those who wait in institutions or orphanages"
by facilitating special needs international adoptions.
It IS the fundamental right of all children to have the security and love of a family.

Maura was so excited to help carry the flag for China during the walk...
It was such a fun day!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the location, Ironstone Ranch, is just beautiful.
Carnival style games, face painting, pony rides, raffle baskets and meeting Chuck-E-Cheese himself.
And then, a yummy lunch for everyone.
Afterwards we went to the Turkey Hill Experience.
It's kind of like Hershey's Chocolate World...
but for ICE CREAM!
And while there, you can have unlimited free samples of ice cream and iced tea!
Maura staying within her comfort zone...only vanilla for her,
but Audra and I enjoyed banana and coconut!
You get to create your own ice cream flavor,
design the container
and star in a commercial advertising your product.
Here is Maura working on her creation...
Cherry-Berry-Licious
(cherry, strawberry, marshmallow, gummy bear ice cream)
For an additional fee you can also visit the Tasting Lab where they actually make your ice cream flavor for you to taste. We hadn't planned to go to the Tasting Lab, and after seeing Maura's ingredient choices I wasn't disappointed about missing out on the experience.
Milking a cow...
ice cream making sure is hard work!
