Chinese proverb

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break."

Princess Audra is 7 years old!

Happy 7th Birthday to my sweet, little princess, Audra!

Today was our last day in DisneyWorld.
Here are Audra and all her besties ready to take over Magic Kingdom for her birthday:

We had dinner reservations for the newest restaurant in Magic Kingdom...
Be Our Guest Restaurant

Audra wanted one of everything on the dessert cart:

We had a special little Minnie Mouse cake delivered to our table.  Audra was so excited when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her.  And she blew out her candle without any prompting, right on cue :)

After dinner was something we had been looking forward to all week...
MEETING ANNA & ELSA!!!

Audra skipped out, as I didn't want to subject her to the "torture" of character greetings on her birthday.  The other girls were in heaven though!

And here is their final ride in Disney...

We've had an amazing 8 days in Disney...
days filled with family, friends and fun,
and nights filled with sweet dreams from pure exhaustion
of living it up at the Happiest Place on Earth
from sun up to park close!

Hollywood Studios

This morning after breakfast the kids got some pool time in.
Only in Florida can you enjoy swimming at 9 o'clock in the morning.
Maura was being very careful not to get her hair extensions (from the boutique yesterday) too wet.  She wants to keep them in for another day or two.

Aidan's bellyflop...

We went back to Hollywood Studios today.
Everyone was excited to ride Tower of Terror.
...even these two little ones, Maura and her friend Tori
Aidan and his cousin Daniel

Because we were in Star Wars territory there were many more "rare Riley sightings" than is typical for a day in DisneyWorld.  He loves DisneyWorld...he just loves the Disney hotel and pool more than the parks.  He knows his limit of being in the heat and waiting in lines :)  Good thing Pop-pop was with us...those two could head back to the hotel earlier than the rest of us or join us later in the day.

What a cute little Doc McStuffins.
She has more than earned this title over the past 18 months!

Princesses for the day

We slept in a little bit this morning, knowing that today was going to be a BIG day!  The first thing we did when we got to Magic Kingdom was go to Enchanted Tales with Belle.  I had no idea what was in store for us.  I wasn't even sure if it was a ride or not.  Once we got inside we learned pretty quickly that it was an interactive show.  And Maura was selected to play the role of Beast!  She was chosen because of the magnificent roar she had in the prep room...and she did not hold back at all when it was time for her part in the show!  That girl can roar :)  All the kids did so well, they played their parts with minimal prompting and no practice at all.

Even Daddy had a part...he was a Knight!

After all that fun with Belle we were off to even more fun at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

What an absolutely fabulous experience...
for the girls,
and the Mommies,
and the Daddies!

The girls were pampered by their Fairy Godmother's...
Audra is on the left and Maura is on the right

They each got to choose which princess they wanted to be, what kind of hairstyle they wanted, and what color nail polish they wanted.

I wasn't sure how Audra would do, but she loved it!
She sat perfectly still...letting them do her hair, paint her nails and put on some make-up.

Maura was an experienced princess, having been to the boutique for her 4th birthday.

Anna and Elsa
(aka: Charlotte and Maura)

The BFF's...Maura (Elsa) and Tori (Rapunzel)

Once their Princess transformations were complete,
and their portraits sessions were done,
we had dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table.

It was a truly magic experience!
To be in the castle, treated like royalty and served food fit for a Queen, while getting personal visits from many of the Princesses...priceless memories!

At the end of our long day, these two princesses walked hand-in-hand to catch their carriage (aka Disney shuttle bus) back to their castle (aka Disney hotel).

Epcot

This morning we had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare which is located in the Grand Floridian hotel.
Probably the only time we'll ever be at this fancy-schmancy hotel!

And what we lacked in character greetings yesterday...
we more than made up for today!
(which was unfortunate for Audra)

Poor girl, she is so anxious the entire time we are at the Character meals that she can't even eat.
She just holds the food in her mouth without chewing or swallowing it.  And if you have ever eaten a meal with Audra you know how unusual that is for her.
My girl can eat...a lot and fast.
Anywhere.  Anytime.

5 of the 6 cousins with Tigger...Audra is burying her head in daddy's chest at the other table right now.

And when Boy Jamie couldn't figure out how to use the camera on Girl Jamie's phone,
Tigger took it upon himself to show him how!

After our big, delicious breakfast buffet we took the Monorail over to Epcot.
First we hit all the exciting rides in Future World, then we walked around World Showcase.
We stopped and spent quite a while in China...
enjoying the beautiful sites and buying little souvenirs.
It felt very comfortable and familiar to be there :)

We got to visit with Mulan...
but Audra did not have the same positive experience she had with Aurora just two days ago :(
Charlotte, on the other hand, was in all her glory!

Aidan learned how to play the Chinese yo-yo

At the end of our day we got to see Mickey and Minnie again!

Seeing them everyday wouldn't even be enough!

Goofy gave Maura a twirl

As the sun set, the view was beautiful...

Another long, delicious, exciting and exhausting day in Disney :)

Animal Kingdom

Today was our only day at Animal Kingdom...and it was a wet one!  Good thing we trusted the weatherman and bought a few ponchos on the way in to the park.

Not a whole lot to share...but it was a nice, slow paced, rainy, character-less day in Disney World.
