Chinese proverb

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break."

5 months

Today marks five months since the day that Audra was placed into our arms.  She had already been in our hearts for a little over 4 months at that point.  But now we have actually held her in our arms longer than we held her only in our hearts in anticipation of finally meeting her.

This will be an exciting month for Audra...and us.  We have many special (and important) things to celebrate this month!

This week Audra will start dance class :)   If you know me well...or really, if you know me just a little bit...you know how exciting this is for me.  I think she will enjoy it, she always tried to sneak into the studio with Maura during her dance classes.

Next weekend we will be going away overnight. We will attend a special event where we will meet some people who were a very important part of getting Audra home forever.  We will finally meet these people in person and have the opportunity to properly thank them for the role they played in helping us get our daughter home.  More to come...

In two weeks we will celebrate an important traditional Chinese holiday, Mid-Autumn Festival.  I am researching and planning how we will celebrate this holiday as a family in honor of Audra's culture.  I can't wait to share photos of that day...

In three weeks...3 very.short.weeks!!...Audra will turn 6.  She will have a birthday...finally, after six long years, she will be celebrated!  To say I am excited about this is an understatement.

Oh, what a month this is going to be!
