Chinese proverb

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break."

Beijing: April 7th

Sunday, April 7th

Today we checked out of the Beijing Hotel and then we were off to see a little bit more of Beijing before leaving for Guangzhou.

First we walked to the Forbidden City

Then, Ms. Li took us to lunch at this small little restaurant just beyond the back gate of the Forbidden City.  She ordred a light lunch for us:  dumplings, spring rolls, etc.

This is some kind of turnip puff pastry?!
And, YES, Sean ate it!
(with chopsticks too!)

Then it was off to the airport where we had to say farewell to Ms. Li.  She has been so wonderful to us while we have been in Beijing.  We  haven't had to worry about one little thing while she has been with us.

We were a little teary as we said goodbye to Tim and Dawn for 5 days.  They are going to Charlotte's province, Zhejiang.  And we are headed to Audra's province, Guangdong.
On Friday Tim and Dawn will meet up with us in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong to finish off the visa process, as Guangzhou is where the U.S. Consulate is located.

Guangzhou or bust...Audra here we come!

Soooo glad this our last flight for 2 whole weeks!
