Chinese proverb

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break."

The END of the paperchase!

Today was the official end of our year long paperchase...Audra's visa appointment.  Our last official appointment here in China and the culmination of our entire journey.

After breakfast we headed to the US Consulate in Guangzhou.  First we were asked to raise our right hand and repeat the Visa Oath.  Basically, we were promising that all of the information in the paperwork we have prepared for Audra's visa is true and accurate to the best of our knowledge.  Then we were called up to a window to present all of her visa paperwork and have it reviewed.  Tomorrow her Chinese passport with a valid US visa will be dropped off at our hotel by our guide and then....Audra is free to enter the United States of America as an immigrant...and she will become a citizen of the US as soon as she reaches US soil!

A big, BIG day for her...and us!

While Sean and Tim went off in search of some soccer jerseys...
Dawn, Charlotte, Audra and I ordered room service and had a little lunch party in our room.
We ordered spaghetti, quesadillas, french fries, rice, congee, fresh fruit, and dessert.

And because eating is our theme these days...and we have a teeny, tiny 5 year old who can eat her weight in food at each meal...we celebrated the day with dinner at Pizza Hut!  But the Pizza Hut here serves so much more than just pizza...steak, Chinese rice dishes, seafood and more!

All tuckered out and ready for bed...

Good night everyone!
Only 2 more sleeps in China, then 2 sleeps in Hong Kong before we get to GO HOME!!!
